"Best Friends... Forever?" is a traditional art piece by Laura Lemur. Colored with alcohol markers and lined with black ink, it depicts two best friends exchanging gifts. Or are they friends? Looking at their gifts, I'm not sure they'll be friends forever.

These two little ladies were inspired by a figurine I saw at the thrift store. The figurine itself wasn’t anything too special: two innocent girls hugging each other. After seeing them, a story developed in my head- “What if they weren’t so innocent?” I imagined these two girls with sweet little faces constantly playing tricks on each other. I named them Maddie (left) and Peggie (right). I’m fascinated by things not being as they seem, which is a common theme in life.
