A multi-media artist who embraces the whimsical, the weird, and the wonderfully authentic.

Hey there, I’m Laura Lemur!

A little bit about me…

I make art that blends character, color, creativity, and a little chaos. My world is filled with original illustrations, nostalgic fan creations, and upcycled thrift pieces with big personalities. If it’s quirky, imaginative, or slightly strange… it probably belongs here.

Where It All Began

Art has been at the center of my world since I was a kid — especially character art. Before I even hit my teenage years, I was deep into the world of fan creations. And I mean deep.

At one point, I had around 120 Sonic fan characters (yes, really… and honestly, no regrets). Designing them taught me how to shape personality, emotion, and story through illustration. It was my first creative playground, and it built the foundation for everything I do now.

Colorful drawing of three anthropomorphic characters with fantasy and steampunk elements, including hats and accessories, sitting around a table with tea cups.
Colorful drawing of three anthropomorphic cats with expressive faces standing outdoors during winter, with snow and a firework in the background.
A colorful drawing of a mythical creature called Analetica the Axolotl, with large black eyes, pink frilly external gills, and a humanoid body. The character is wearing a yellow dress with green and orange accents and blue wings. It is surrounded by blue bubbles and dotted lines, with a signature and date in the bottom right corner.

The Art I Create Today

These days my focus is on original art — characters, illustrations, and designs drawn from my imagination. I still create fan art here and there (nostalgia never leaves you), but most of my artistic energy goes into building my own whimsical universe.

My work spans digital art, traditional drawing, and creative upcycling through Artsy Fartsy Thrift — a space where forgotten thrifted treasures get transformed into lively, characterful pieces. Everything I create shares a common thread: a sense of personality and playful weirdness.

A Six-Foot-Tall,

Full-Figured,

Curly-Haired

Creative Human

As a six-foot-tall, full-figured, curly-haired artist, I’ve always known what it feels like to stand out. Growing up, I didn’t fit neatly into the status quo — not visually, not socially, not artistically. And honestly? It took me a while to realize that fitting in is wildly overrated.

The moment I started embracing my differences, everything changed. My creativity exploded. My characters got bolder. My art became more me.

Like the characters I draw, we’re all a bit whimsically weird — and that’s a beautiful thing.

It’s something to celebrate, not hide.

Whimsical. Weird. Wholeheartedly You.

My art celebrates the idea that creativity has no rules. Not everything needs to fit in, match up, or make perfect sense. Some of the best things in life come from leaning into the quirky, the unusual, and the imaginative.

I create art to make people smile, to make them feel seen, and to remind them that being authentically yourself is the most powerful thing you can be.
